Sales Executive

TitleQuest of Hampton Roads  - Chesapeake / Virginia Beach / Suffolk

The TitleQuest Companies and its affiliates have been providing comprehensive Residential and Commercial title insurance and closing services (Virginia only) since 2001.  Our highly experienced management team members have an average of 25 years experience in all facets of title insurance and real estate closings.   The company has grown to be a leading title agency in Southern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina.  TitleQuest and its affiliates pride themselves on building lasting relationships through exceptional service while carrying on the tradition of offering peace of mind to individuals and companies as they sell, purchase, refinance or lease real property.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has a positive attitude, takes initiative, works well under pressure and wants to be part of a team. This position spends 90% of the time out of the office. This role is responsible for promoting, securing and servicing business from real estate agents, lenders, builders, investors, and other prospective sources while developing and maintaining these relationships. A Sales Executive must establish a professional working rapport with business source contacts, their clients and representatives. Seeking an aggressive, sales-oriented individual.

 

The Sales Executive is responsible for:

Selling Title & Closing Services to Real Estate agents within Coastal Virginia (Chesapeake / Virginia Beach / Norfolk / Portsmouth / Suffolk)

Conduct one on one and group meetings with agents/loan officers weekly within region presenting information related to TQ services.

Follows up on any questions posed which require further research or on obtaining details relative to a particular transaction customer/prospect is referring.

All meetings/appointments are followed by a personalized note and communicated back to the Sales Team Leader/Management.

Conduct educational workshops utilizing a combination of prepared materials and self developed materials based on topic.

Maintaining Social Media presence for the company through the use of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Qualifications:

Prefer a minimum of 2-4 years sales experience working in title, real estate, or lending

Other Service Industry sales experience of 3 years may also be considered

Must have a valid driver’s license

High school degree required, college degree preferred

Title Insurance Residential Underwriter

Job Description

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Prepare title binders, policies and any related endorsements and correspondence. Interpret completed attorney opinions (where applicable), title searches and related documentation necessary to produce commitments/binders and endorsements.
  2. Review and interpret surveys.
  3. Determine and communicate with title examiners and/or certifying attorneys those requirements and exceptions that are necessary to complete binders and policies in accordance with company underwriting procedures.
  4. Prepare authorization to overlimit forms on binders that exceed liability limitations.
  5. Prepare Invoices for premium and title examination fees or other related expenses.
  6. Recognize title defects and seeks advise from Underwriter Supervisor or Underwriting Counsel as to insurability, when necessary.
  7. Correspond with clients to obtain missing documentation and/or clarify information. Forward commitments/binders and/or policies to appropriate parties.
  8. Participate in training and advising new and less experienced underwriting staff members of agency.
  9. Maintain knowledge of computer system (SoftPro), where applicable.
  10. Develop and/or maintain good relationships with law office clients and in-house closing staff.

TITLE EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED.

  1. High School Degree or equivalent education and related training
  2. Two years of underwriting experience
  3. Title Insurance License
  4. Time management skills
  5. Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  6. Excellent spelling and language comprehension
  7. Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks Initiate work/self-learning/development
  8. Ability to work under deadlines
  9. Works well with others and independently
  10. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
